Greetings Friend,

COG - WM logo

Thanks to God we are back in Ukraine! It has been a long time of preparation, but well worth it. We hope to be here for up to one year this time. We want to thank all of you who have made this possible through your prayers and support. God Bless…

 An Aaron & Hur Ministry
Helping to support a Pastor in his community

Exodus 17:10-12
Exodus 17:10-12 So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. 11 And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. 12 But Moses’ hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.

Pastor Brugosh & Jason

We often get asked the question, “What will you do this year as missionaries to Ukraine?” The answer is really simple. We will do whatever the Lord asks of us. Now this is the obvious and spiritual answer, but what is the practical day to day application of this truth? We understand our calling as an “Aaron and Hur” ministry. God has called us to support Pastor Kortchi Brugosh. We know we are to hold his arms as he, through direction from God, wages war against the enemy seeking to destroy the residents of Radvanka, a medium neighborhood here in Uzhgorod that is predominantly occupied by the Roma people. We can see the power of this ministry as there is a light in this little section of town, and spreading!

We acknowledge that more can be done for the Kingdom here by ministering alongside this man of God. We know that working through Pastor Brugosh will be most effective on many levels. Although Valeriia is Ukrainian, she is not Roma. We do not fully understand the language, culture, or the daily activities of the people to whom we minister. Pastor Brugosh does. He is the man of God appointed over this congregation. He is their shepherd.

We are delighted at the privilege to serve in this congregation. Pastor has asked if we will be able to share a word in Sunday services, participate in bi-weekly all night prayer vigils (10pm until 4am), help baptize new members, and always participate with alter calls and prayers for healing. This is the great commission in action! In addition to soul winning, there are many “projects” that are needed at the church. We desperately need a synthesizer for Praise and Worship both inside the church and for street evangelism events. The church needs tiles for the floor, windows are all cracked and don’t provide adequate protection from the weather, and there is no bathroom. We know that God will provide. He always has.

Soup Kitchen in Radvanka was canceled!

Soup Kitchen

The soup kitchen in Radvanka has been canceled due to lack of funding. Every Wednesday the church meets and has worship and a message and until recently, offered hot soup and bread for the community. It is a wonderful tool to bring people in to hear the gospel and to reach out to the people in this neighborhood. Because funding has been cut, this program had to be dropped. For just $37.50 a week we can provide enough food for everyone. Please help us to resurrect this outreach program.

  In Summary…

We are so honored that God has opened this opportunity for us to go forth as ambassadors in His name. We are privileged to minister alongside our Roma friends as we help to bring the light of Jesus Christ into their poverty stricken neighborhoods. We hope to do street ministries, building projects at the church, and support the soup kitchen.

In addition to our work with the Roma church, we will continue to combat child sexual abuse. We hope to host a second training event to equip local pastors, missionaries, social workers, and volunteers to the orphanages. The goal is to use Christian developed resources to minister to Children in Crisis and bring the healing and hope of our Savior into their lives. There in an extreme urgency to get the Gospel to them before they are snared by the world of drugs, alcohol, and prostitution.

The need is great, but our budget is not. We aren’t asking for huge contributions. It is amazing how far the American Dollar will go toward Kingdom building in Ukraine. The exchange is 8 to 1! So for every dollar you donate, it is like donating 8. We really only need a few more churches, organizations, or people to commit to $10 to $25 dollars a month to meet our monthly budget. So if there is any way you can squeeze just a little extra toward missions, your kingdom investment will go a long way toward changing lives and harvesting souls. We understand that you may not be able to assist at this time, and that’s OK; But could you please take a moment and seriously pray for this ministry, the Roma church, and the children of Ukraine.
